Mobile App

Overview of Mobile App for Magento Webstore Owners

Mobile app synchronization

Mobile app sync is a process in which you can synchronize directly your app with data from Magento back-end of your website. This is typically done by connecting the app on a mobile device to your website database via a connector(*). For example, you might sync the data of the store's products list from your website database to your app perfectly.

When you sync an app with your website, it typically updates both app on mobile device and the website on computer with the most recent information. This is also referred to as "merging" the data. For example, if you have added a new promotion campaign (discount price) to your product on the website since the last time you synced it with your app, that number will be added to your app immediately. Similarly, any update entered into the website back-end since the last sync will be added to the app on mobile devices.

Mobile app sync is the best useful solution to transfer your data from a website to a mobile shopping app. It helps you to save time and get the exact results when transfering data.

With SimiCart, you don't need to export or import your huge product data from and to your app! All information such as product details, catalog, taxes, shipping rate, language, currencies... is automatically synced with your Magento website through a connector (currently, simple, configurable, bundle, grouped and virtual product are supported). This method allows best information synchronization and also complete security for your site since data is not stored or connected to SimiCart or any other 3rd parties.

(*) SimiCart Connector is an extension that is installed in your Magento admin to connect with your app. It helps synchronize data and let you configure your app easily
